Mack Group Advisory (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates mackgroupadvisory.com and related client services, including our Books Health Check and client financial dashboards.

2. Information We Collect

  • Information you provide: when you use our Health Check, book a consultation, or contact us, you may give us your name, email, phone number, and business name.
  • Financial data via QuickBooks: if you connect a QuickBooks Online account, we access financial reports (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet) through Intuit’s official OAuth 2.0 API — only the scopes you authorize — and store summarized report data (revenue, expenses, margins) to power your dashboard.
  • Usage data: standard web analytics (page views, referrer, IP address, browser type) to improve our services.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Prepare your books health assessment and financial dashboards
  • Deliver advisory services you engage us for
  • Send transactional emails (reports, booking confirmations, follow-ups you opted into)
  • Improve our services and comply with legal obligations

4. QuickBooks Data Handling

  • We request only the com.intuit.quickbooks.accounting scope.
  • Access tokens are short-lived and refreshed automatically; refresh tokens are stored securely and encrypted at rest.
  • We do not sell, share, or transfer your QuickBooks data to third parties.
  • We store summarized financial metrics — not raw transaction-level data.
  • You may disconnect QuickBooks at any time, which revokes our access and deletes stored tokens.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only:

  • Service providers: hosting, email delivery, and analytics vendors that process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal requirements: when required by law, regulation, or legal process.

6. Data Security & Retention

We use encrypted transmission (TLS/SSL), encrypted storage, secure token management, and access controls. We keep your information while your engagement is active or as needed to serve you; financial report data is retained for up to 24 months. You may request deletion at any time.

7. Your Rights

  • Access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you
  • Disconnect QuickBooks and revoke data access at any time
  • Opt out of marketing communications

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and optional analytics cookies (including Meta Pixel) to measure advertising. You can disable cookies in your browser; some features may not work.
